An Instant Shinespark is a shinespark that skips the wind-up animation that would normally occur. Instant Shinesparks are done by canceling that wind-up animation with a different animation. Below are the majority of possible animations to use for an instant shinespark.

Grounded Spark

To do a grounded instant spark you must do these inputs:

  • hold up/down
  • then, press jump while still holding that direction

This spark ONLY works up or down; diagonals and such will not work as you would just get a standard jump.

Falling Spark

To do a falling instant spark you must be falling straight down, then do these inputs:

  • hold up/down
  • then, press jump while still holding that direction

This spark ONLY works up or down; holding any other direction will just result in Samus continuing to fall

Unmorph Spark

To do an unmorph instant spark you must be midway through the unmorph animation, then do these inputs:

  • hold up
  • Press and hold jump while still holding up

This spark ONLY works with a shinespark up. This works both on the ground and in the air.

Ledge Climb Spark

To do a ledge climb spark you must be midway through climbing up a ledge, then do these inputs:

  • press jump
  • hold the direction you want to go

This spark works in any direction though it is a bit more difficult to do on the diagonals.

Melee Spark

To do a melee instant spark do these inputs:

  • Press melee while standing, running, or in the air
  • Press jump then the direction you want to go quickly afterwards

This spark will work in any direction. This works on both the ground and the air.

Shot Spark

To do a shot instant spark you must be spinning in the air, then do these inputs:

  • Press and hold jump(or release and re-press)
  • then, press shot and hold the direction you want to go

This spark works in any direction. This only works while spinning in the air.

Re-spin Aim Spark

To do a re-spin aim instant spark you must be in the air, then do these inputs:

  • Press Aim
  • Release Aim, then press and hold jump shortly after
  • TAP Aim

This spark works in any direction. This only works in the air.

Neutral Jump Aim Spark

To do a neutral jump aim instant spark you must do these inputs:

  • Jump while holding aim in the direction you want to spark
  • Release and Re-Press jump
  • Release Aim shortly after

This spark works in any direction.

Store Spark

To do a store instant spark you must do these inputs:

  • press down
  • Press jump and the direction you want to go shortly after

This spark works with Left, Right, Up-Left, Up-Right, and Up. Trying to spark down will result in a wind-up spark upwards.

Turn-around Spark

To do a turn-around instant spark you must be in a neutral position midair, then do these inputs:

  • Hold the direction you want to go OPPOSITE of where you are facing
  • Press Jump

These inputs need to be done extremely quickly. This spark only works while turning around so you need to hold inputs opposite of where samus is currently facing.

Landing Spark

To do a landing instant spark you must be about to land on the ground, then do these inputs:

  • Press jump and hold the direction you want to go

This is incredibly difficult to do on purpose so it is advised to avoid using this form of instant spark. This spark works in any direction.
