Ledge Warp
Ledge Warp is a trick that allows us to store a mantle animation on a ledge using Morph Ball so that when we unmorph facing the direction of the ledge while also in the air, we teleport straight to it.
How to do it
There are two methods to perform a Ledge Warp. The first is to jump at a ledge in such a way that you would get a mantle animation and press morph the frame before it would start. The second method is to use a backflash cancel into a backwards slide to get 'stuck' on the ledge and then press morph.
Method One
As stated above, you MUST get a ledge mantle animation and MUST press morph the frame before that it would occur in order to store it. If you press 1 frame later you will get a glitch known as Spaceball which launches you up high in the air while still in Morph Ball.
The easiest and most common use of this method of the ledge warp setup involves ledges that are 4 tiles above the ground. You can ledge warp on any ledge in the game, but this is by far the easiest way to set it up. All you have to do is do a full jump towards the ledge and press morph at the correct time. Now, you have to KNOW that you got the ledge warp as well. In which case, there are two methods for this; the first, is to go neutral on the stick as you approach the ledge and when you morph watch for if she LANDS on the ledge or merely touches it and falls to the side. If she lands on the ledge then, you've correctly stored the ledge warp. The second method is to keep holding the direction you jumped in, morph and then watch samus' momentum after the morph. If she retains her momentum, then you have stored the ledge warp; any other result, and you have not gotten the ledge warp
Remember that you MUST unmorph in the direction facing the ledge the you stored the ledge warp. What that means is if you stored facing left, then unmorph facing left. You must also be mid-air during the unmorph, otherwise you will not trigger the warp.

Method Two
This method requires a backflash cancel similar to what Shortboost needs with a few key differences. The first difference, is that you must be AT LEAST 8 tiles away from whatever ledge you need to ledge warp off of. Any less distance will not give you the chance to store the ledge warp and any more distance will do the same. A useful normalization to get to the exact distance necessary is to grab a ledge, slow climb up onto without moving any further, then pressing the slide button and very shortly afterwards pressing forward. With morph ball you have to do this forward input very very quick otherwise you will just morph instead of slide.
Once you are at the distance needed perform these inputs/actions:
- Start by holding the flash shift button and press the direction opposite of where samus is facing.
- Mid-way through this 'backflash' input down on the control stick.
- After the down input you must hold the direction that samus is facing and press the slide button within a short window of each other.
- Once you are floating in the air, go neutral on the stick and press morph.
If all of that is done properly, you will have stored the ledge warp.
Remember that you MUST unmorph in the direction facing the ledge the you stored the ledge warp. What that means is if you stored facing left, then unmorph facing left. You must also be mid-air during the unmorph, otherwise you will not trigger the warp.
