What makes Glitchless unique?

As a result of the number of techniques banned in Glitchless categories, the number of major "tricks" is only a small fraction of the tricks in No Major Glitches and in Unrestricted categories. This means that control of Samus's movement is even more important than in other categories within Metroid Dread as you will quickly run out of tricks that can save significant time off the run.

Primary examples of major Glitchless tricks and sequence breaks include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Water Slope Skip
  • Cataris Adam Skip
  • Early Grapple Beam (Intended)
  • Backdoor Flash
  • Glitchless Early Ice (GEI)
  • Early Space Jump (not in All Bosses)
  • Early Screw Attack (not in All Bosses)
  • Early Gravity Suit (Intended)
